Our Story

Hi! I'm Teresa, founder of Candlelight Cottage — and this is Chuck, my extraordinary partner in every sense of the word. We first met forty years ago on the island of Crete while serving in the Air Force. Life took us different directions, but Crete had other plans — we found each other again on those same shores and haven't looked back. Now we build our lives the way we love best: chasing experiences that make us feel alive, giving back to our communities, and bringing that inspiration home.

Candlelight Cottage grew out of that impulse. Fragrance, we've found, is the closest thing to a time machine. The scent of mulled cider at a fall festival. Fresh coffee on a quiet morning. Summer berries picked at dusk. The warm glow of a lantern while reading your favorite book. These moments pass quickly — but a single scent can pull them back instantly, completely.

Every Candlelight Cottage candle begins with a story. Each one is hand-poured in Colorado and crafted to create an experience, not just a scent.

When you light one of our candles, our hope is simple: that you're carried back to a favorite memory — or inspired to create a new one. 

We dontate a portion of our proceeds to veterans groups and suicide prevention orgaanizations.
